Carol Johnson is President of The Competitive Edge Office Systems, Inc since founding it in 1994.
B orn and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, Carol spent most of her time growing up on the slopes skiing with her family. After graduating college, with her husband, from Chaminade University in Hawaii in 1990 with a BBA in Business Administration, she returned to Juneau, Alaska. Carol now splits her time between Juneau and Salt Lake City with her husband and Daughter, Sarah. Expanding their business to Salt Lake in 2013 has been a big adventure for them. After running their business in Juneau for 20 years the new addition to Salt Lake is an exciting opportunfity. With lots of new hiking trails, restaurants, and shopping, there will be a lot of things to keep them busy.

Carol likes to get involved in the community which she lives in. For 3 years she was on the board of the Juneau Lyric Opera, she also spent many years in Rotary Club. She is now involved with the Salt Lake City Chamber of Commerce, Women in Business. This is proving to be a fun-filled group to be involved with. With both locations it keeps Carol busy with travel and work. In her spare time, she loves to hike, bike and walk the trails with her dogs; and catch up on her girl-friend time.

Carol’s credentials include being a Women Owned Small Business, and a member to the ASID. She is also versed with 18 years of experience in space planning, layout, and design for office spaces.

Dan Johnson
Vice President
Dan Johnson is President of The Competitive Edge Office Systems, Inc since founding it in 1994.
D an Johnson graduated from Chaminade University of Honolulu with a BBA in Management and Accounting. In 1991, was hired on with Xerox Corporation in Anchorage, Alaska. In 1992, Xerox moved Dan to Juneau, Alaska to be a Marketing Representitive. Dan quickly became the Government Account Marketing Executive supporting the State and Local, Federal, as well as private companies throughout Southeast Alaska. In 1994, Dan and Carol had the opportunity to become Xerox Sales Agents covering Southeast Alaska so The Competitive Edge Office Systems, Inc. was established.

As a small business in a particular location I think it is important to be involved in the community and help support the community that helps our small business succeed. So our company has been a strong supporter of local high school events, local arts and humanities, and various other local charities. Dan has been involved in the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, President of the Alaska Youth Choir Board, and participated in several musical productions with our daughter Sarah. The beginning of 2013, Xerox Corp. asked if we would expand our agency to Salt Lake City and March 2013 we opened our doors in the historic Crane Building at 300 West 200 South.

Representing an iconic American company that Xerox Corporation has been very rewarding throughout the years. It is fun for me to be able to become familiar with a wide variety of businesses and organizations, developing a working relationship that teaches me their operations and document needs and sharing with them ways that Xerox technology can make their operations more efficient, producitive, and better value. I look forward to meeting and establishing that same long-term working relationship with new and non-Xerox companies and organizations.
